About

Devon's green homes revolution deserves a directory of its own

Devon is the solar capital of the UK. More than one in ten Devon households already generate their own power - more than double the national average - and the county is home to nearly 200 solar installers, around 150 of them MCS-certified.

And yet, if you live in Exeter, Barnstaple or Totnes and want to find a trustworthy local installer, you are stuck wading through national directories with a generic postcode filter and no real local feel. There was no Devon-specific directory for verified green trades. So we built one.

What we verify

Every listing shows the certifications that matter for renewable work: MCS for solar, heat pumps and battery storage; NICEIC and ECA for electrical work; TrustMark and RECC for consumer protection. We cross-reference the public MCS installer register so homeowners can see who is genuinely qualified for the job.

Built for Devon, not the nation

From the red sandstone cliffs of Exmouth and Sidmouth to the moorland edges of Tavistock and Okehampton, Devon is broad and varied. Devon Green Trades is organised around real Devon towns and regions, so a homeowner in Bideford finds North Devon installers, not someone three counties away.

Free for homeowners, fair for trades

Searching the directory is, and always will be, free for homeowners. Tradespeople can list for free too, and only pay if they want photos, priority placement and to appear higher when homeowners search. No commission, no lead fees, no lock-in.
